In the distance can be seen the fells of Kinn 374m (1,227ft) and Grisedale Pike 791m (2,595ft), the former of which is one of the 214 Wainwright Walks. The ‘Wainwrights’ are a popular challenge amongst fellwalkers, with many attempting to achieve all 214.
