Scotgate Holiday Park, along with Braithwaite Bridges Camping Site, were sold by the Stuart family, who had owned the sites for 65 years in 2019 to the Camping and Caravanning Club. Scotgate Holiday Park has be renamed to Braithwaite Village Camping and Caravanning Club, and Braithwaite Bridges Camping Site has been closed and is currently unused. In the postcard can be seen the Coledale Horseshoe (also known as The Coledale Round), consisting of Barrow 455m (1,494ft), Outerside 568m (1863ft), Sail 773m (2,536ft), Crag Hill 839m (2,753ft), Hopegill Head 770m (2,530ft) and Grisedale Pike 791m (2,595ft). The Coledale Horseshoe is approximately 9.3 miles long and a popular circular walking route around the glacial hanging valley of Coledale. Amongst the several motor vehicles in the postcard, can be seen a 1959 Ford Consul MKII , a Ford Anglia , and an Austin A40 MKII.
